Upstate SC
  • Large Animal Emergency Rescue – Large animal emergency rescue training is provided by the Clemson University Extension Service to emergency responders (Firefighters, EMS personnel, rescue squads,), public safety officers, veterinarians, animal control, and groups of horse owners involved in animal rescue.

  • Hollow Creek Farm – HCF is a small rescue and training center for horses and dogs and is located in Enoree, SC.  There are several different species at HCF (including pigs, goats, and livestock), but they specialize in equine and canine behavior and training.

  • South Carolina Awareness and Rescue for Equines – S.C.A.R.E. provides public awareness and education concerning the welfare of equines and will assist in the investigation of equine abuse and/or neglect cases in South Carolina and will provide responsible foster/adoptive homes and quality rehabilitative care for equines in need.




















Easley 
  • Bird Dog Pet Rescue – This organization that specializes in large breed birds and small breed dogs does not have a shelter. They are a foster home based adoption group.

Fairforest, SC
  • Global Rescue Welfare League – GROWL was started to help raise awareness in regards to all the homeless animals all over the world.  It is their mission to help save as many innocent animals as possible while raising awareness about altering (spay and neuter) and responsible animal ownership. 

Greenville
  • Pet Haven of South Carolina – PHSC offers shelter, care and sanctuary at their NO-KILL facility for abandoned, abused and/or neglected cats, dogs, and horses as well as - if the need arises - other domestic animals as well as feral cats/stray dogs.  They are an all-volunteer organization and a federally recognized public non-profit organization.

Sandy Springs
  • Palmetto Equine Awareness & Rescue League – P.E.A.R.L. is dedicated to take some of the burden off law enforcement and animal control by offering to oversee the case management of reported horse neglect including, but not limited to, working with owners of horses suspected of neglect, to ensure they understand horse care needs from feed to health care.

Simpsonville
  • The Rabbit Sanctuary – This organization helps to educate people about how to live with rabbits as companion animals. They also offer the opportunity to virtually adopt (sponsor) a sanctuary rabbit through the Adopt A Rabbit Sponsorship Program.  Currently, they are participating in a program whereby every Spinx car wash receipt they collect brings them $2 for the rabbits in their care.
